I have a personal theory that the characters, including the protagonist, are not even humanoids, but kind of ants or something like that, and the protagonist just perceives them like that. This would explain the giant “goddess” (queen), girls everywhere (workers), unusually large “ibara-tai” (warrior ants)…
Probably false, but I find this idea entertaining.
